People keep asking me which rice cooker to buy. Unless you spend hundreds of dollars on a rice cooker, I consider them expendable. I use mine for several years and buy a new rice cooker when a better one comes out. I have yet to throw one away. I donate my old ones to a local thrift shop.
For now, I love my Aroma ARC-2000 Rice Cooker / Food Steamer. It’s the one that I use almost every day. It’s great for brown rice, white rice, and all of the other non-rice recipes I cook.
I have no patience, so I use the “quick rice” setting for all my rice. I also use the steam setting for browning meat and the slow cooking setting for simmering.
